So Quick to Judge

It happened so fast
Just the other day
I had them both pegged
And judged
But I was so wrong
My judgement was sheer arrogance
So quickly viewing externals
And adding my own...

My own what? 
And why?
Where does that come from?
Only from an ugly heart
Not a pure heart
Not a heart that sees the way You see

And yet maybe Your vision was there too
Because, very quickly I knew
I could see the thoughts were wrong
And there was an openness 
To being proved wrong
And seeing another view

And a repentance

Lord, please cleanse me of this pride, this arrogance. It has really got to go.
